What is a Tooth Bridge?
A dental bridge is a series of one or more prosthetic teeth (called pontics) used to bridge the gaps in your smile. The dental bridge consists of a series of fake teeth (pontics) held in place by crowns attached to the abutment teeth on either side of the gap. As such, traditionally speaking, dental bridges necessitate shaving down some of the healthy teeth to accommodate the crowns that would hold the entire bridge together.
